For the London Zine Symposium I created 2 different zines one about Mr Mcgee and one about Black Annis. They will also be on sale at Checkout in Bristol on 12 June, with other cool stuff created by the Sauce collective.

Cutout Book
The paper cutouts that I made in response to the myth of Black Annis have been painted in acrylic and then sewn into this handmade book.

The Myth of Black Annis
For my self initiated project I was looking into the Myth of Black Annis.
A tale about a blue skinned hag, who haunted the Dane Hills in Leicestershire. Black Annis would lurk in the branches of an old oak tree, poised ready to ambush lambs or children who played out after dark. Failing this she would head for the town, to snatch sleeping children straight from their beds. She would skin the children alive and eat their flesh. The skins would then be used as decorations for her cave or sewn together to create clothes.
I created a series of papercuts. London Zine Symposium
Been neglecting my blog a bit lately been busy with hand in for uni and making zines for the London Zine Symposium, which the Sauce Collective attended today. Had a good time but absolutely cream crackered now! Will be posting what I have been up to shortly!
