Postboxes good but not useful
So I have discovered the postbox idea isn't going to work for this brief. But I would like to use it as a theme for a project sometime in the future. My new plan is to use the Winchester Antique Bookshop. Still here are some photos of postboxes for your enjoyment!
Genius Loci and the start of my obsession with Postboxes
To start the new brief I went for a wander round good old Winchester town in search of "my space," a place with an interesting atmosphere. Possible locations were a run down garage, a telephone box, park benches, the river, the discovery centre and postboxes. The discovery centre and postboxes stood out for me as ideas, however after a trip to the centre I was left uninspired so I moved on to the postbox as a space.

The Food Chain
I have been working on my summer project for uni. The brief stated we were to chose one of 5 words, they were:
Process, Alienate, Persuasion, Dominate and Alternate
The brief was really open and there was no specific outcome or deliverable. After researching into all of the words, I decided to produce work on the word dominate. Specifically looking into food chains, predators and prey.
I begun by researching food webs on the internet, but soon decided I wanted to focus more on British backgarden wildlife and food chains found there.
I found the RSPB website really helpful with an a to z of wildlife found in a typical garden. Allowing me to start to build up a diagram of a food web from which to base my work.
