Last weekend was a busy one, here is the low down. On Friday the Sauce Collective & Co. went to have a little look-see at the preview of Brighton Photo Fringe.
My favourites were by Alexander Nicolas Gehring who is featured above.
Then on Saturday, Mr T and myself went for a drive along the coast. We stopped off at Saltdean, where we stumbled on a food and drink market at the Saltdean Lido. We tried the Lamb and the Vegetable Samosas - they were epically good!
The Lido has really interesting architecture and definitely should be restored to its former glory, not be left to decay or as the leaseholder proposed redeveloped into flats. It seems very wrong, not to preserve the past. I have found out that there was recently a petition to save it and currently its future is being debated. There was an article published by the Argus about the petition, "Petition demands action over Saltdean Lido." Hopefully it will once again be restored to look like this!
After the food fair, we travelled further along the coast to Seaford.
Then went to Birling Gap, where there were quite a few surfers.
Then on Sunday Kat, Mr T and myself went on a jolly to London to Handmade and Bound. We brought and spent way too much.
A few of my purchases were Tight Fit Zine, Matthew Hay's This is so Deep, Ellen Mclean's 24 Hours, Andrea Kearney's Gentleman Caller and Nick White's Stuff I Found on My Desk and Never Show Knees in Public.
